It’s so much fun trying to write an “About” page… NOT! But here goes
I have a BS degree in Computer Science from North Dakota State University. I pretty much live on my computer, and enjoy being a ‘techie.’
But there is another side of me which loves to read, do needlework (cross stitch, canvas work, and quilting), and photography. So many things I enjoy and not enough time to enjoy them all.
I took a photography class in college and loved it. I swore one day I’d have my own dark room… but alas, that didn’t happen. But now everything is digital and the darkroom is now Photoshop and Lightroom and other ‘techie’ tools. Hey, right up my alley! The digital nature of photography today makes it so much easier to improve my skills faster.
I’ve always loved taking photos of my nephews sporting events. As they got into high school other parents asked if I had gotten any shots of their kids, so I started taking photos of the team instead of just my nephews. I started www.TMBSports.com to provide slideshows of the sporting events and updates on the scores and stats for the event. Last year I also added www.ShetekPhoto.com to provide a location for parents to purchase photos of their kids.
I love sports photography as I just love freezing those great moments! It takes shooting a ton of images, but when I get a really great shot it is SOOO worth it!! Plus, I know there are so many parents that really appreciate the ability to enjoy the games and not think about getting any photos, because they know I am. 
Those with kids in my nephews grades will sure have a timeline of great photos by the time they are seniors.
The other type of photography I love is landscape photography. My husband and I enjoy traveling and both enjoy capturing the beautiful scenary. Lately I’ve become interested in getting shots of the moon. Too bad the good opportunities only come up a few times a month.
So the reason for this site is to display my best and favorite photos.
